For Lois' case, her resolution was early fulfilled. With wobbly knees and unsteady gait, she has already passed onto toddler stage by way of walking. As early as first week of January, she has embraced her independence with arms open wide. It didn't start with careful steps; instead, she came zooming across me to Daddy Poh. After that was a series of day-to-day improvement. My, she's even trying to climb a pile of pillows. Our 'oohs' and 'aahs' of surprise were as loud as her excited shrill chuckles.
Many baby books say walking is commonly mastered at age 12-18 months. Lois learned it at age 10.5 months. Her doctor said she seems to have long feet. Probably why she's strutting her stuff as early as now? Nah, I don't think so! It's nurture more than nature. Ü
Eating patterns
So far, Lois has the go signal to eat almost everything, except of course highly allergenic foods like nuts, citrus fruits and sea foods. Her 'dede' time has been cut down to thrice a day including nighttime feedings. My period has been normal since Sep last year, to my dismay - because I've been used to not having it monthly, the change has somehow left me adjusting again.
I've not been very adventurous when it comes to her diet. Her doctor advised me to feed her what we ourselves would eat, not going the extra mile. Gladly, she's no picky eater. Swallowing almost everything I give her, from nilaga, tinola, sopas, sinigang, afritada, monay, pritong saging. She's never on the heavy side though she eats almost every hour. Once she's full she wouldn't take on a bite, or else she'd throw up. But one time we were on a party, I was feeding her sopas-her favorite- and she finished a cup-full then still finished some spoonfuls of ripe mangoes and some ears of grilled corn.
Godparents
Thanks to Lois' thoughtful godparents for the adorable presents last Christmas. God bless your generosity.
