Bay, Laguna's Grand Villa Resort and Butterfly Farm

Kuy Zyg, Kuya Drei and the whole party

It was a post-Mother's day's celebration, but more aptly, the celebration of Lolo's 71st birthday. After lunch at Kamayan, where we were serenaded by a trio who skillfully belted out Bruno Mars hits, we went for a swim at the Grand Villa Resort and Butterfly Farm - Bay, Laguna.

Surprisingly, the place was a gem. It has a spacious parking area which leads to the welcoming island-inspired reception desk. Ate Mary pointed out that the artworks displayed are wings of butterflies collage.

We only got to explore the resort, which is a huge kiddie and adult pool divided into two by a huge rope. Surrounding the pool are gazebos, mini-gardens, bahay kubos (nipa huts), and interesting sculptures.

I also spotted a huge malunggay farm, already inaccessible to guests. Brought out the urge again to go into farming, though where to plant, remains a question.

A row of capiz-window rooms and houses are also available. To me, this is a good venue for a celebration, even for corporate events such as team building or planning activities.

Hopefully, we can go back there again. Next time, to be able to check the zoo and the butterfly farm.
