Day after Christmas, Lois and Carlos were playing with their new stuff toys- gifts they received from family and friends. Lois, with urgency in her tone, told me "Mommy, kawawa naman sila."
Taking the chance to impart life lessons, I told her that as long as God is in our hearts, nobody is to be pitied.
Then Lois quickly replied, "Wala kase silang hearts kase toys lang sila e." (They don't have hearts because they are only toys.)
