Yesterday, I had my first again. With my hubby, I attended the midweek ReSoul service of Bread of Life Makati in Onstage, Greenbelt. It was pure joy seeing all those familiar faces and getting updated with our friends, again. It helped that our nanny was there to look after our little angel.
But it felt strange to be 'out' again. After 4 months of just staying at home to care for Lois, I wanted to look good when others see me post-pregnancy. So choosing among my more loose-fitting clothes, I finally put on a pair of low-waist cargo jeans and a stripped v-neck shirt. I looked fine, and my husband's compliment assured me it wasn't just me. I really looked good! Nice choice, Tams! Other people told heart-warming things too. If only they'd know how long it took me to get dressed because the zipper wouln't close and how many tops I tried on just to know which one would best conceal my post-pregnancy tummy. Even wearing closed heeled shoes was difficult. I felt like I would trip over with my every step! But the fuss was worth it. It was good to be out in the open, busy air of Makati, to hear Coach NT's well-received jokes and teaching, and to share sorrow with a bereaved friend. But I have to really get serious with my fitness plan. Got to loose these extra pounds.
