All Talk
I'm so fond of Lois' verbal achievements now. She's able to churn out phrases while talking with me. 'Daddy, 'la na!' (Daddy left already.) Pointing to the umbrella, she yaks, 'Pay, Mama!' (Mama's umbrella). And when I hand her things she asks for, 'Aynk you, Mama!' (Thank you, Mama!) She even remembers jokes. Whenever we ask her who's to blame, 'Got, Yays!' to mean that her nanny Ellen is at fault after an instance when her granny Dahls got upset over something Ellen failed to do.
They say girls are fast talker. I agree! Soon I'll be having full conversations with little ate Lois.
All play
As for Baby 2, it's all acrobatic stunts inside my womb. Since I'm now familiar with flutters and kicks, as early as 5-months in utero, Baby 2 has been making his presence felt. I try to let Lois feel his jerks, but I think she's too young to recognize those movements. Just the same, it's heartwarming whenever Lois would rub my tummy and lovingly kiss Baby 2. When she's on the mood, she even belts out some tunes complete with hand gestures and facial contortions. Oh what a sight to behold!
Big giant tantrums
We've recently achieved great tantrum discovery regarding Lois. It used to be that before bedtime, she would cry herself to sleep unless Daddy Paul picks her up, sways and sings to her. Thankfully with the aircon now, we're able to close all the windows and let her cry it out if the situation gets so fussy. But the better solution is to let her drink milk, from the bottle still, until she's all full and ready to go to sleep. We found out that she does not throw up anymore and that she's willing to drink a few sips of water so her teeth won't be all soaked in milky acids at night. It's not the best set up, I'm sure any pedia dentist would disagree with us, but hey, there's no better way so we'll just stick to that.
