Little artist

Daddy Paul bought Lois some non-toxic erasable crayons last Sunday. It was primarily a defense to shield our home from her eager windings. The floor, the bar top, the bed sheets, even the laptop were weak, willing victims to the speedy scrawls of Lois' hands. She shifts the pen from left to right, whichever is easier and better to write with, then expands beyond the scratch paper I have spread before her, one single second I take my eyes off her.

'Lois, you only write on paper, not on your legs.' But my shirt is a better canvass, or the vinyl tiles. So to foster her interest in doodling without sacrificing the orderliness of our home, its erasable crayons for now. I saw some kid-friendly chalk on the web but haven't checked f they're available here. I think Lois will find it easier to use than crayons, but will have to see if the chalk dust would be friendly too.

Theatergoer
Our recent projects in church, we're members of Bread of Life Makati - ReSoul Mosaic, involve special screening of the movies Spiderman 3 and Shrek the 3. We saw the latter with dear couple-friend Jukey and Wanda and their adorable toddler Alonso. We brought Lois too with her nanny Mhagie. The kids behaved well all throughout the movie, not minding the darkness of the cinema. They slept half of the time, but were very alert and attentive during their awake time. Pointing to Shrek, Donkey and the Dragon. I'm really happy we all completed the show, nobody had to go out because someone was crying inconsolably. I guess Alonso and Lois are really big enough for new things.

Last Saturday, it was the play Into The Woods that Lois and I saw with Mama Dahls and Yays Ellen. Sine it was a live performance, Lois had a different experience. Actors were singing and dancing right before her tiny eyes. The smoke special effects and the other shrill sounds didn't bother her. She fell asleep at the middle part once again though, and her MaDahls decided to bring her out to give her longer nap. Daddy Paul was feeling bad so he stayed at home to rest. I'm sure Lois would have enjoyed it more if her Dad was carrying her. The two just have this magnetic appeal towards each other.

All for the Audience of One
All these activities were done by our home church to raise funds for our current Project Mosaic. If you happen to be on Greenbelt 1, you'd see the banners on the spot where NSG (National Sports Grill) used to occupy. We're moving there, a much bigger space where we can have our activities weeklong. The current Mosaic Lounge will move there starting July 31. It's a big project. The whole congregation's busy and on fie about it. Every small group, worker, life coach in Greenbelt is under the burden for it. Paul and I have caught the fire, he's giving most of his Top Coder winnings for it. I have found myself attending the early Thursday Urban Meditation sessions with Ma'am Beth and Tita Ghi for it. This morning we had a thanksgiving for the ongoing initial phase and for the overall big chance given to the body to walk with God - on a different level. I heard and have talked with many willing unknowns, as Tito Arnel puts it, and how they have enlisted to support the cause and have found themselves awed by God's faithfulness. I feel privileged, because I don't see myself worthy to be found in the company of saints. Yet I'm hungry for more. I pray God would use me.

Thanks to Anlen Esteban and Marj Dayrit of Club Punta Fuego for all their help.
